End of September

We had Grant's 6 month check up a few weeks ago. Overall, he is healthy and doing great! We are going to an eye specialist at Children's Mercy Hospital November 1st, because his eyes still seem to cross some. We especially notice it in pictures. Our pediatrician said he doesn't like seeing that after 4 months, so we're going to have it checked out just to be safe. It's not very severe, but if it's a problem we want to take care of it as soon as possible.

Here are his 6 month stats:
Weight - 22 pounds - 95th%tile
Length - 27 3/4 inches - 76th%tile (Falling behind now!!! Haha)
Head circumference - 18 1/2 inches - above 97th%tile (off the chart still!!!)

As of last week, Grant has 6 teeth! 6 teeth at 6 months!! His bottom 2 came in first around 4 months, then the top two on the sides came in so he had fangs for a few days! It didn't take long for the front top two to pop through last week. It wasn't too horrible, but our very happy baby definitely wasn't himself. He seems better now, so hopefully he'll be okay for awhile!

We also recently had our first Parents as Teachers meeting of the school year. Parents as Teachers is a program through our local school district to support first time parents. A lady comes to our house every few months to discuss milestones and answer questions that we have. She also does some basic screenings to make sure Grant is developing on time. I'm happy to report that Grant passed all of the 6 month tests! Woo hoo! She said that Grant also did almost every skill for the 8-9 month age group. Smart boy! :) We're so proud!

Here are some pictures from the end of September.
