June

Grant's length:
-Over 23 1/2 in

Grant's weight:
-June 7- 14 lb 4 oz
-June 30- 15 lb 13 oz

What Grant's learning to do:
-Hit objects with his fist
-Hold rattle/toys
-Attempting to hold his bottle

What Grant likes:
-"Talking"
-Johnny jump-up
-Playing under his play mat
-Seeing funny faces
-Looking in the mirror
-His Bumbo seat and exersaucer
-Watching TV (We try not to let him, but he is always turning toward the TV!)
-Being held

What Grant doesn't like:
-Being set down
-Car rides- We think he's too hot in his car seat now that it's hot outside!

Things that make him special:
-Daddy calls Grant "Little Big Ear" now, because we noticed that his right ear is noticeably bigger than his left ear!
-Grant's adorable belly laugh and animated face with his raised eyebrows
-His big head- a 12 month shirt got stuck on his head :(
-Being a big boy- everyone guesses that he's already 6 months old; he even wore a size 2T Deucescracked t-shirt this month

Other highlights from this month:
-We are trying to feed Grant less often. Our pediatrician said every 3-4 hours. Grant still wants to eat every 2, but we're working on moving toward 3 hours between feedings.
-Grant took his first airplane ride to Las Vegas to visit Daddy! He was wonderful on the flight out there and our return flight. Whew!
-When we were in Vegas, Grant got kicked out of the World Series of Poker room for being under 21 years old.
-Grant went for his first swim in our Vegas pool for about 5 minutes! He just sat there. He showed NO emotion!
