3 Month Pictures

On June 14, before Grant and I left for Vegas, we went to Portrait Innovations to have his 3 month pictures taken. I was so happy with the pictures. He was in such a good mood and was making the cutest faces. Here are the 7 poses I ordered. Let me know if you want a copy of one...I might have gone a little over the top with my ordering, so we have plenty!:)


We didn't take professional newborn pictures, so I wanted a naked baby picture. It turned out kind of goofy though since he's already so big!

June

Grant's length:
-Over 23 1/2 in

Grant's weight:
-June 7- 14 lb 4 oz
-June 30- 15 lb 13 oz

What Grant's learning to do:
-Hit objects with his fist
-Hold rattle/toys
-Attempting to hold his bottle

What Grant likes:
-"Talking"
-Johnny jump-up
-Playing under his play mat
-Seeing funny faces
-Looking in the mirror
-His Bumbo seat and exersaucer
-Watching TV (We try not to let him, but he is always turning toward the TV!)
-Being held

What Grant doesn't like:
-Being set down
-Car rides- We think he's too hot in his car seat now that it's hot outside!

Things that make him special:
-Daddy calls Grant "Little Big Ear" now, because we noticed that his right ear is noticeably bigger than his left ear!
-Grant's adorable belly laugh and animated face with his raised eyebrows
-His big head- a 12 month shirt got stuck on his head :(
-Being a big boy- everyone guesses that he's already 6 months old; he even wore a size 2T Deucescracked t-shirt this month

Other highlights from this month:
-We are trying to feed Grant less often. Our pediatrician said every 3-4 hours. Grant still wants to eat every 2, but we're working on moving toward 3 hours between feedings.
-Grant took his first airplane ride to Las Vegas to visit Daddy! He was wonderful on the flight out there and our return flight. Whew!
-When we were in Vegas, Grant got kicked out of the World Series of Poker room for being under 21 years old.
-Grant went for his first swim in our Vegas pool for about 5 minutes! He just sat there. He showed NO emotion!

May

Grant's length:
-May 27- 23 1/2 in (62%tile)

Grant's weight:
-Beginning of May- 11 lb 7 oz
-May 27- 13 lb 14 1/2 oz (86%tile)

What Grant's learning to do:
-Track objects
-Smile in response to people
-Look at contrasting and bright colors
-Hit toys on bouncy seat
-Rolled over from tummy to back once on May 26

What Grant likes:
-Eating
-Being held
-Riding in the car
-Getting out of the house/being in a new environment
-Baths
-Sleeping at night (already 6-9 hours per night!)

What Grant doesn't like:
-Waiting to eat
-Getting dressed
-Being set down

Things that make him special:
-How he makes everyone around him happy
-How he continues to amaze us as he learns and grows daily
-How he crinkles his nose when he smiles
-His cute laugh
-His big head- 16 1/2 in (86%tile)

Other highlights from this month:
-Started having play dates with the other March babies
-Had his first round of shots on May 27; he did awesome
-Slept through the night for the first time on May 4 and pretty much every night since

-Smile and laugh

What Grant likes:
-Ceiling fans
-Lights
-Eating
-Screaming
-Riding in the car
-"Shhhh"-ing
-Being held and bounced
-Newborn napper in Pack 'N Play

What Grant doesn't like:
-Being set down
-Napping during the day
-Tummy time

Things that make him special:
-Cute smile and laugh
-His funny, funny faces

Other highlights from this month:
-April 5- Grant got his tongue clipped.
-April 5- Made it back to birth weight
-Grandma Wilt and Erica visited Grant in KC.
-Started reflux medicine at the end of the month

March

I'm going to try to do a quick recap of each month to get caught up on the past 3 months! Here's a little bit about Grant's few few weeks!

Grant's length:
-March 19- 20 1/4 in

Grant's weight:
-March 19- 9 lb 1 oz
-March 28- 8 lb 5 oz

What Grant's learning to do:
-Smile
-Hold his head

What Grant likes:
-Ceiling fans
-Light fixtures
-Eating
-Screaming!!! :)
-Pooping
-Riding in the car

What Grant doesn't like:
-Napping during the day
-Being set down

Things that make him special:
-Grant is so alert. He loves having his big blue/gray eyes wide open and watching everything around him.
-Old man hairline since some of his hair has fallen off since birth

I really can't believe I'm actually going to post these pictures. They are ridiculous, but I think it's pretty amazing to see the difference between 12 weeks and 37 weeks!

Guess I should stop complaining about looking fat now when I see what I looked like a few months ago!! ;)
