I had my 39 week appointment yesterday. Baby Wilt is doing great! I'm still dilated about 2cm. I think my doctor noticed the look of disappointment in my eyes when she told me, because then she said 2-3cm. =) I'm about 80% effaced now which is an improvement...especially after I went from 70% at 37 week to 50% effaced last week! Probably the best news was that she said the baby's head is right there and ready to go. Last week the baby had moved up, so my doctor said she expected to see us back this week at our appointment. She wasn't so sure yesterday and wouldn't make any guesses on whether she thought I would make it until next week or not!
We go back next Wednesday, March 17th, for my 40 week appointment if I haven't gone into labor before then on my own. At that appointment, we'll schedule an induction for Friday, March 19th. It's nice to have that date in mind, so we at least know we'll have this baby by then.
After feeling my belly and measuring it, my doctor estimated that Baby Wilt already weighs around 8 lbs 4 oz!!!!! So, if I make it to my appointment next Wednesday, we will have an ultrasound to check the weight of this big baby! Hopefully he/she decides to come out before the ultrasound next week...and before getting much bigger! =)
Good news overall! The waiting continues...
Check back for updates, pictures, and videos of our adorable son, Grant (and maybe a picture or two of Dexter too)!

Freezer Meals!!!
Last week my mom and grandma came over for two very busy days of preparing meals to freeze in our new deep freezer in the garage. At the end of day two, we had 31 dinners and 2 breakfast casseroles in the freezer ready to eat once Baby Wilt arrives! I feel so much better knowing we have some meals prepared. Take a look at that awesome, food-filled freezer! (Mimi also did surgery on a few of Dexter's toys!) I couldn't have done it without my mom and grandma...THANK YOU BOTH! =)
38 Week Update
We went back to the doctor again on Tuesday, March 2nd. I was still 2cm dilated, but now I am only 50% effaced! How does that happen when I was 70% effaced last week? Well, Baby Wilt has decided to move back up after dropping down some. :( My mom said maybe it's a girl since she can't make up her mind which way to go! Haha. Apparently without the pressure of the baby pressing down on my cervix, it's not as thinned out which is why it went from 70% back to 50%. I had never heard of that before, but my friend Sara had her baby on March 3rd and the same thing happened to her during labor! She had been 100% effaced for a month, but she was only 70% when she got to the hospital because the baby had moved up. By the way, she ended up having a baby girl so my mom's theory still might hold true!:) I think the baby has dropped some again now since last Tuesday, so hopefully we'll find out on Tuesday that we're moving in the right direction again! Dr. Hartung said last week that she expects to see me this Tuesday at my appointment. She didn't think anything would happen before then.
Aaron, Dexter, and I went on a walk around the neighborhood last night since the weather is finally getting nice. I was great for the first 10 minutes or so, but the last 10 minutes were hard for me. I felt a lot of pressure, and I even had a contraction or two on our way back home. I guess the walking might be helping! We'll find out on Tuesday!
We haven't uploaded the 38 week pictures yet, but here is a picture from 37 weeks. If you look at the pictures a few posts below, I think you can tell the baby is higher again in this picture. (And notice how my shirt is not even close to fitting my belly anymore!)
